ASBA
National Conference | Darwin | 20–23 May
Attended by: Jak Tidman & Patrick Renner
Hosted by the Association of School Business Administrators (ASBA), this biennial national event brings together business managers and school leaders from across the country. Set in Darwin, Western Australia, the ASBA Conference provided the perfect setting for meaningful discussions around school operations, leadership, and strategy.
Jak and Patrick spoke with attendees about Paperly’s modular admin management system, highlighting how it allows schools to simplify their enrolments, streamline forms, and improve communication across departments and parents.

AISNSW ICT
Management & Leadership Conference | Sydney | 28–30 May
Attended by: Dan Dawson, Patrick Renner & Em Purvis
Held at the Hyatt Regency Sydney, the AISNSW ICT Management and Leadership Conference brought together ICT directors, school principals, and education decision-makers to discuss the future of digital infrastructure in independent schools.
We’ve come a long way from traditional chalkboards and abacuses, which is why it’s no secret that the educational landscape is changing (and has already changed) rapidly over the past decade. Students are naturally learning with the help of technology, and now teachers and school admin staff are required to do the same.
Our Paperly team were on the ground speaking with tech leads and principals about the realities of school admin, data integration, and how to future-proof systems. Gone are the days of countless folders in filing systems with forms and documentation that could easily go awry. Paperly exists not only to solve this issue, but because there is a faster and easier way for schools to modernise their admin. It was energising to see how aligned schools are in their search for more efficient, scalable digital solutions, now it’s just up to the management team to make the switch.
Plus, we had some great chats about what schools really want from their tech platforms: simpler interfaces, clearer workflows, and everything in one place.

EduTECH
Sydney | 11–12 June
Attended by:Jak Tidman, Dan Dawson, Patrick Renner & Em Purvis
More recently our team attended EduTECH 2025, Australia’s largest education and ed-tech event, bringing together over 10,000 educators, thought leaders, and technology providers.
Our agenda included two full days of ideas, connections, and showcasing how Paperly is supporting schools across the country with real, modular admin solutions that actually make sense. From enrolments and forms to comms and compliance. It was great to connect with so many other like-minded people, both attendees and brands, who are helping develop our industry and raise the bar. We’re excited to keep showing what’s possible when tech is built for schools, by people who understand (and have worked in) schools.

Why we show up
Attending events like ASBA, AISNSW, and EduTECH isn’t just about brand awareness and ‘talking the talk’. Listening to the real stories, pain points, and needs of educators, IT managers, principals, and admin teams across Australia helps us better understand and connect with the people (and schools) who can really benefit from using a platform like Paperly. These events give us feedback in real time about what people want, and also how we as a brand can adapt to the needs of schools today. It’s about making sure Paperly continues to evolve with schools, not just for them, which is something we value above all else.
